Assessment has always been an important topic in learning and development. Whether it's in a corporate or an academic environment, offline or online, determining whether or not something has been learned is a needed piece of feedback for both the participant and the instructor/facilitator. According to https://www.edutopia.org/blog/dipsticks-to-check-for-understanding-todd-finley, studies have shown that on-going assessment of participant progress and understanding directly impacts the success of the learning experience.
While there are of course all sorts of ways to "check for understanding" - observation, journal, mindmap, Twitter post, etc. - you can quickly and easily include an unscored quiz within a Path. As shown below, using SmarterPath's Quiz Builder, simply set the passing score percentage to 0 (zero).
Questions are added and point values assigned as usual using the drop-down provided. Note: the 10-point default values can be changed at the discretion of the Creator or Path Owner. They do not affect the 0% Passing Score setting noted above.
Note: the passing score field must contain a numerical value from 0-100. If it is left blank then the quiz completion summary will error out.
